Recently, Professor Xiaolan Fu, Founder of OxValue.AI, Tenured Professor at the University of Oxford, and Fellow of the British Academy, was honored with the 14th MACA Most Achieved Chinese Award (2025). The MACA Awards aim to “highlight the image of the Chinese nation, promote the Chinese spirit, and enhance the international standing of Chinese people,” recognizing exceptional achievements in science, culture, arts, business, and more. Past recipients include Yuan Longping, I.M. Pei, Jia Pingwa, and Yang Liwei.

As a member of the United Nations High-Level Advisory Board on Economic and Social Affairs, Founder and Director of the Oxford University Technology and Management Centre for Development (TMCD), and Founder of OxValue.AI, Professor Fu has long focused on technology management and innovation, promoting inclusive and sustainable technological development. She emphasizes cross-disciplinary integration, combining management, economics, and development studies.

Professor Fu said: “I am deeply honored to receive this award. I am grateful to my alma mater, my family, and my colleagues for their trust and support. To young people, I say: Do not fear starting late, and do not be daunted by cross-disciplinary challenges. As long as you maintain independent thinking, a broad vision, and determined action, you can forge your own path—a path that connects China and the world, theory and practice, the past and the future.”
