On 16th November, OxValue.AI’s founder, Professor Xiaolan Fu, was invited to attend the 2023 X-Lake Forum in Shenzhen, China. 

Professor Fu delivered a keynote speech describing how AI can be used to assist in the valuation of novel and emerging technologies. She described the work of her own team, now being deployed at OxValue.AI: an original theoretical framework subjected to rigorous validation is now available via a cloud-based SaaS platform or, for ultimate privacy and convenience, offline on a client’s local desktop. This approach benefits from wide applicability, precision, objectivity and advantaged cost at scale.

The 2023 X-Lake Forum was jointly hosted by China’s Ministry of Science and Technology and the Shenzhen Municipal government. This year’s forum, themed “Innovation and Sustainable Development,” focused on “Openness, Integration, and the Future.” It attracted experts and scholars all over the world to explore these key elements and to share the latest advancements in science and technology.

About Professor Xiaolan Fu 

Professor Xiaolan Fu, the founder of OxValue.AI, is a Professor of Technology and International Development at the University of Oxford and the Founding Director of the Technology and Management Centre for Development (TMCD). She is also a distinguished Fellow of the British Academy of Social Sciences.

Professor Fu has made ground-breaking research contributions in areas such as innovation, technology and industrialisation, foreign direct investment and economic development. She was appointed by the Secretary-General of the United Nations to both the Governing Council of the UN Technology Bank and the Ten-Member High-Level Advisory Group of the UN Technology Facilitation Mechanism. In November 2023, Professor Fu is scheduled to share her insights at events hosted by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
