🎉 Prof. Yu Xiong, in his dual role as Director of OxValue.AI and Associate Vice President at University of Surrey, spoke at the 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) on 27 July at Alibaba’s Xuhui Riverside Campus in Shanghai. He also chaired the high-level roundtable “Global Development and Governance of AI: Towards Co-Prosperity and Co-Governance.” The discussion focused on balancing innovation and risk, and shaping a global, inclusive framework for AI governance. 🤝🌐

Co-hosted by Tsinghua University and the United Nations University, the session drew over 500 in-person attendees and approximately 500,000 online viewers! Other panellists include senior leaders representing international institutions, government, and business from the UN, UK, China, and Macau.
